Amanda is the President of a global Industrial Engineering Solutions Company. She took a little time from her busy working and mom-life schedule to be pampered by the talented Megan Wilkinson (Hair & Make-Up Artist), and create some beautiful corporate headshots for her social profiles and marketing materials. She wanted to convey a smart, polished business executive while remaining soft and feminine, too. These are her results. She is gorgeous. She is a professional. The idea of being a corporate businesswoman is nice, but growing up it was never something I saw myself doing. I love the way ladies look a good business suit, pencil skirt, and button-up blouse. It reminds me of Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada. (Gosh, how I love that movie.) Alternately, I’ve worked in healthcare most of my career, and I rock the good old faithful scrub life. Serving others is where I thrive. It’s my jam if you will, and as a result, my feet ache at the thought of wearing heels for periods of time longer than an hour and a half.

Ann | Newborn Baby Session | Baton Rouge, LA

I am obsessed with this studio newborn session. I was lucky enough to photograph Big Brother, William, for all of his milestones. Now I get to do the same with baby sister, Ann!

They are just about the same distance apart as I am with my brother, and I just know they are going to be best friends. As children, we used to play so well together. We played tea party, dress up, cops and robbers, cowboys and indians, you name it!

And as teenagers, we ran in the same circles with the same group of friends. This was advantageous to me because I could stay out about an hour later if I was at the same place he was. He kept a close watch, and (mostly) kept me out of trouble. I know William and Ann will have the same connection and make wonderful memories together.

I am so thankful to be a newborn photographer with a studio space conveniently located in Denham Springs, right on the outskirts of Baton Rouge, so that I have the opportunity to capture beautiful images like these. As a result, I can’t wait to see which ones Mom prints for their walls.

If you are considering if your toddler will cooperate or not, know this. It only takes a couple of minutes to get a great shot. There will probably be snacks, trickery and bribery involved. We do whatever it takes! All the while, ensuring the safety of your newborn baby, as baby’s safety is of the highest priority. And it’s always a great idea to have an extra hand take the big sibling home/to the park/library while we finish up with baby.

June | Maternity Session | Baton Rouge, LA

I first met June when she and her husband asked me to do a Fresh 48 Session two years ago when their daughter, Jasmine, was born. I’ve seen them every three months since then, documenting all of Jasmine’s milestones. I was beyond excited for them when she shared that they were expecting another sweet baby! It’s a BOY this time. His name is Jeremiah, and I can’t wait to meet him! This Coronavirus is kinda cramping my style, though, so I need that to go ahead and go away so I can get my hands on that baby ASAP!

Looking absolutely gorgeous in blue, June rocked this maternity session! These are just a handful of my favorites. I had SO many! These were taken at the Capitol Park Museum and across the street in the beautiful garden at the State Capitol in Baton Rouge.
